Vashistha Narayan Singh was born on April 2, 1942, at the home of Sipaha Lal Bahadur Singh and Mother Lhaso Devi in ​​Basantpar village of Bhojpur (Ara) district of Bihar.  On the strength of his talent, he gained fame not only in the country but also abroad.  While most people consider mathematics as a difficult subject, for Vashisht Narayan it was no more than a game.  Mathematics to them.  It was a lot of love.  He walked as if he kept invisible boards before the eyes and solved the questions on it.

 Vashistha Narayan was very promising since childhood.  After studying in the village till the fifth class, he came to Netarhat in the sixth class.  Here he topped the United Bihar in the tenth examination in the year 1963.  After this, he enrolled in intermediate at Patna Science College.  The principal of the college and the scholar of mathematics, Dr.  P.  Nagendra was stunned by his remarkable talent.  It used to happen that Vashistha Narayan used to interrupt them if the teacher made even a slight mistake in teaching.  Even they used to solve the same question in many ways.  In view of his talent, the rules of Patna University were amended to give him a bachelor's degree prematurely.

 While Vashistha Narayan was studying at Patna Science College, Professor Kelly of Berkeley University of America came there.  He was so convinced of Vashisht Babu's talent that he even called him 'Genius of Genius'.  After this, Vashistha Narayan went to Berkeley University after receiving a scholarship.  Here he did research and teaching work.  In 1969, Vashistha received a D.D. from the University of California.  Lit.  Has received the title of .  He did his PhD on Bicycle Vector Space Theory.  Thereafter, he also served as an associate professor at the University of Washington.

 Dr. Vashistha Narayan Singh gave Einstein's theory of relativity.  Was challenged.  For some time he also worked with the US space agency 'NASA'.  It is famous that some computers were shut down before the launch of the Apollo mission.  Vashistha Narayan had done the necessary calculations on paper.  When computers started again computers and Dr.  Vashistha's calculations were the same.  Vashist returned to India in 1971.  Here he worked for one year in research and teaching at IIT, Kanpur.  In 1972, he moved to Kolkata.  In 1973, Vashistha was married to Vandana Rani Singh.  Everything went well for a few years.  In 1974, he suffered a mental attack.  It turned out that there is schizophrenia.  After some time the wife got divorced.  He eventually returned to his village in 1987.

 In 1989, Brother Ayodhya Singh was taking him to Pune.  They landed at Khandwa station and got lost somewhere in the crowd.  Many places were searched, but nowhere was found.  Four years later, in February 1993, they met at Doriganj in Chapra.  Later Vashistha Narayan along with his brother started living in Patna.  After suffering from schizophrenia for more than 40 years, Vasistha Narayan Singh said goodbye to the world.  The rest of his memories and some mathematical sessions were written copies, which he often said would be researched one day after I left.
