 Are you born by learning poetry?  This was the response of Bathi Premchand ji when he first heard Nepali poems.  The original name of Gopal Singh Nepali was Gopal Bahadur Singh.  He was born on 11 August 1911 in Bettiah.  Dada came from Nepal and settled in Vihara, so he kept the Nepali surname.  However, in the early days of writing, Gopal ji named 'Nepali'.  Were not known  He bore the nickname 'Magan'.  They are Hindi and Nepali.  Used to write in the language.  Apart from journalism, he also wrote poetry.  Also wrote more than 400 film songs. 


Bright stars of Bharat Gagan


 Nepalese's first poem 'Bharat Gagan's Jagg Stars' was published in 1930 in Ramvriksha Benipuri edited children's magazine.  He was highly praised for this.  In 1932, at the Kavi-Sammelan organized on the occasion of Acharya Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi's Abhinandan festival, he recited poetry on the public stage for the first time, which was highly appreciated.  Gaya .  At a poet conference, Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was also pleased to hear Nepali poems.  Nepali has written most of the poems on nature.  Also, his creation - in the world.

During the India-China war in 1962, he wrote many poems focused on patriotism, which were well liked by the literary and general public.  In 1933, the first poetry collection of 62 Nepalese poems 'Umang' was published.  After this, the main poems and songs collections of 'Panchi', 'Ragini', 'Panchami', 'Naveen' and 'Himalaya Ne Pukara' were published.  Poet Suryakant Tripathi 'Nirala' called him 'the glorious star of Kavyakash' He also did editing work in 'Sudha', 'Ratlam Times', 'Punya Bhoomi' 'Yogi' magazines.  He continued to create literature.  Kavivar Vimal Rajasthani called Nepali a 'poet of raga and fire'.  He has run pen on different dimensions of nature.  As soon as they see the beauty of Vasant, they start singing - 'I am spring, in Kunj Kunj, my own Pitambar flies, in Nirjhar's Uham wave, my youth is bursting out.  


Successful as a film lyricist


Nepali, who was was highly influenced by filmmaker Shashadhar Mukherjee.  In the year 1944, he joined the film world.  He wrote about 400 songs for different films.  In 1945, he was awarded the Best Lyricist Award by the Bengal Film Journalists Association.  Nepali also founded Himalaya Films and Nepali Pictures.  Producer - Director K.  In the form of Nepali, he produced three feature films - 'Nazrana' (1949), 'Sansana' (1951) and 'Khushbu' (1955).  Nepali created a distinct identity through film songs, due to which he was called the 'king of songs'.  'But the crooks are infamous, the housekeepers.  Lata / Meri Dulhan - On the nights, nine million stars were robbed.  Through lines like, Nepali repeatedly enchanted the common man's mind.  He breathed his last on April 17, 1963.
